The Beatles is the music band that has great reputation as well as very long and interesting history. There is no doubt that this group has made significant success for their career and it is still good to learn more about how they get such a success. The following article covers a topic that includes a short history of them. You may find that before they become The Beatles they have to face so many problems and obstacles, which require patience and a lot effort to struggle. If you want to learn more about it, here’s your opportunity.

The guy named John Lennon, who has very strong inspiration from the rock and roll music of Elvis Presley, created the Beatles. John Lennon and his friends had formed up the music band named Quarry Men in the year 1957. At the end of the year 1942, John met Paul McCartney, the guy from Liverpool, and persuaded him to join the band after he finished seeing John’s performance.

Afterwards, in the year 1943, The Paul’s schoolmate joined the band on leading guitar and also changed the name of the band to Johnny and the Moondog. In early 60’s, Cliff who was the schoolmate of John Lennon, joined the band on bass guitar despite the fact that he had no knowledge about music and notes. Tommy Moor was replacing Pete Best for drums and the band used the name Silver Beetles. Soon after, the name of the band was changed again from Silver Beetles to The Beatles.

After that, the new Beatle music band had the first concert to welcome new member, Pete. In December 1943, Harrison was arrested by German police and sent him back to his hometown because he was too young and after him, the guys from Liverpool were also sent back to their home country.

In the year 1960, the Beatles started their concert performance again in Cavern Club in Liverpool, and this place was the beginning of their success story. They had almost 300 performances at this place and then they decided to go back to German in April 1961. At this time, one of the band members decided to leave the band to be full time artist and they became four instead of five.

Paul compulsorily had to play bass guitar as well. After that, the Beatles performed concerts in Liverpool many times until 9 November 1961, Brian, the owner of music record, came to see their concert. Brian’s customers had asked him for “Bonnie” which is the song that The Beatles had made the record in Germany few months ago. Two months later, Brian became the first band manager for The Beatles who changed the look of all members of the band including their hairs

This will be my first concert, and I really dont know what it means when they say that Muse will open for U2. Does that mean that Muse will play like 2 songs and then the rest will be U2? If you have attended concerts before, how long does that opening band last?

All About Fishing Line

Ok, you’ve been asked to design a great fishing line. Here are just a few of the goals you have to satisfy:

1. It should be super strong, but not so strong that it can’t break. Better to break your line than your fishing rod. It has to stretch somewhat, but not too much.

2. It should glide through your guides during casting and rewinding with minimal friction, cast far and accurately, then come back in with little effort. But it also has to allow the drag mechanism to work effectively, to put resistance on a fighting fish. It has to hold a knot well, too.

3. It should be light enough to cast far, but have no ‘memory’. Memory is the feature of line that, for example, causes line to remain curled from being on the spool, kinked after being knotted.

4. It should be immune to cold, heat, sunlight, saltwater and slime.

And, oh by the way, all those (and many more) criteria come before even discussing that it has to be easy to make in large quantities and sell for only a few dollars. If a spool of fishing line could sell for $1,000 engineers would have a lot easier time designing it!

When working on the first goal, line designers have to carefully balance just when the line should snap. You don’t want to let that good one get away, but you don’t want to break a fishing rod when that big guy leaps up and runs away. As part of that effort, fishing line comes in different ‘test weights’. That is, it may be 4 lb, 10 lb, 12 lb, 20 lb and so on.

To satisfy the second goal, fishing line makers have to be sure that the line is abrasion resistant. It has to stand up well to scraping over rocks, the edge of the boat, and so forth.

To create a good knot, a fishing line has to have some inherent friction, though. Otherwise, the knot would slip right out the first time there was the slightest tug on it. Line also has to be somewhat flexible, lest the angler be forced to spend ten minutes trying to tie something that feels like wire. Imagine what a surgeon would have to go through tying stitches with bad surgical line, for example.

Creating line that has little memory is a whole combination of science and art all its own. Anyone has noticed, for example, that a string wound around a stick has no memory. Unwind it and it hangs limply. Plastic or nylon, on the other hand, may well be curled when it comes off the stick, especially if it was curled on in the sun and unwound after it cooled in the shade. Once kinked it stays kinked.

One aspect of creating line with no memory is to try different materials, manufactured in various ways. Materials scientists spend years experimenting to get just the right balance.

At the same time, those same scientists are looking for materials that don’t wear out from exposure to UV light, extreme temperature changes, being dipped in water that contains salt and other chemicals. They may devise a monofilament or a braid to add geometry to help that material do its job.

So, next time you’re asked to design fishing line, just say “No, thanks” and be grateful there are so many good ones on the market to choose from already.

I would like to know all the girls’ names that are in the beatles songs. I have a dog that I named Lucy for Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. Now I am getting a new girl puppy, and would like to name her after a Beatles song as well, that kind of rhymes with Lucy, but doesn’t really have to. Does anyone know them?

Ever gaze wistfully at your neighbor’s yard full of lush, green grass and wonder why your own front lawn seems so botanically challenged? Consider installing a sprinkler, and the grass might just be greener on your side! The solution is simple enough: A healthy garden teeming with beautiful grass and plants requires lots of water. What might be difficult is deciding which sprinkler to install. Some people might be surprised, even daunted, by the number of different sprinkler types out there, but we can help you understand the specific purpose for each sprinkler so you can make the right decision for your lawn.

First, think about your lawn watering needs. Usually the best way to water plants is starting from the ground and then working your way up. Roots can better receive the water this way, and you reduce the chance of spreading plant diseases. But some plants, such as ferns, do well with just a light shower or dusting of water.

Also, take into account your lawn’s soil type. For example, a sandy soil would require you to water it more slowly but more frequently than a heavier soil such as silt.

Sprinkler Types-

Rotary: This sprinkler has two or three spinning arms that produce a fine spray of water. The rotary sprinkler can be adjusted to control the distance of the spray, which is a plus.

Oscillating: Think of an oscillating fan that sprays water. A curved arm that moves from side to side sprays water out of a collection of small holes. The arm can be adjusted to face either side or both.

Pulsating: This sprinkler squirts out a single spray in incremental pulses, moving in a circle. You can adjust the pulsating sprinkler to spray in a full clockwise circle or a partial circle, or you can reverse it to spray counterclockwise.

Traveling: Positioned on wheels, this sprinkler actually moves around your lawn, compelled by the force of the water as it sprays. You can place the sprinkler’s hose along a path in your lawn and put one of the sprinkler’s wheels on the hose. From there, the sprinkler will travel the length of the hose, watering the yard in the process, and then it will stop once it reaches the end of the hose.

Hoses-

Sprinklers would be rather useless without a hose, so when you’re shopping for the sprinkler you’ve finally settled on, remember to consider what kind of hose you’ll need. Think about the diameter, the thickness and the length of the hose. Hoses usually come in diameter sizes of 1/2, 5/8, and 3/4 inches. Simply put, a 5/8-inch hose produces 1-and-1/2 times the amount of water as the 1/2-inch hose does, and the 3/4-inch hose produces 1-and-1/2 times the water as the 5/8-inch hose. You will want the most amount of water as possible, so in most cases, you should go with the 3/4-inch hose.

Next, think about the hose’s thickness. Vinyl or synthetic hoses made with fiberglass reinforcement are extremely lightweight and are generally resistant to puncturing; however, the thin walls of these types of hoses are susceptible to kinking. Thicker hoses don’t kink as much, but they are heavier and can be difficult to control. If your sprinkler moves a lot, you might want to go with a hose that won’t kink as easily.

Lastly, measure or get a decent estimate of the size of your lawn and figure out the distance from your house’s spigots to the furthest spots in your yard. Use this information to determine how long you’ll need your hose to be. Hose lengths can range between 10 feet and 250 feet.

Side note: Soaker hoses are porous, which slows the flow of water. They come in vinyl, foam, plastic, rubber and canvas, and are particularly useful in watering rose gardens or other kinds of flower gardens.

So you’ve bought yourself a new high definition television and are getting ready to hook it up. Well, before even bothering opening the box it is a good idea to be able to understand what HDMI actually is. HDMI, or high definition multimedia interface, is an audio and video connector which allows the transmitting of uncompressed, encrypted digital streams.

A HDMI Cable can be used for many different things including to hook up a high definition television, DVD player, video game console, or even a personal computer. When purchasing a high definition television or something that requires HDMI cables it is a good idea to purchase a HDMI wall plate as well.

A HDMI Cable is capable of connecting any device that has an HDMI female port to any other device that is equipped with HDMI port. You can install a HDMI wall plate to help hide the cable as it moves from room to room. Using a HDMI wall plate will help make everything look so much better than just running the cable directly through the wall and into the other room. When you purchase an HDMI Cable to run through the walls, you should automatically purchase a HDMI wall plate to make the transition from inside to outside the wall look professional.

There are many different places and ways to purchase HDMI cables. When you go to purchase a cable it is a good idea to make sure that the cord has been certified by HDMI. If a manufacturer’s cable has been certified then that means that the manufacturer has submitted their product to be tested by HDMI and that the product has passed the test and can be HDMI certified as an adapter. If you purchase your HDMI cable in a store you shouldn’t have to worry about this but if you are going to purchase a cable online then be careful because there are tons of pirated cables all over the internet.

What are HDMI Wall Plates? An HDMI Wall Plate is similar to a wall receptacle or a wall plate but an HDMI Wall Plate has an HDMI hook up in the center as opposed to a power outlet plug in. An HDMI Wall Plate will allow the HDMI cables to travel through the wall while provide a clean and fancy looking wall plate in which the cable plugs into. These wall plates are very affordable and provide an excellent look.

When hooking up your HDMI Cable it is important to ensure that there isn’t any bends or kinks in the cable after it has been plugged in. A cable that has bends and kinks in them tends to wear out a lot faster than cables without kinks or bends. That is why it is so important to make sure that your HDMI Cable is not subjected to bends and kinks otherwise it could possibly ruin the cable rendering it useless. Remember to make sure that your HDMI Cable is certified by HDMI.

Judging by ‘All Things Must Pass’, George had clearly been stockpiling a lot of songs for some time. And some of these songs surely were of a great enough quality to be on latter Beatles albums.
Had George been less mild-mannered, could he have made a difference – possibly delaying the split? Or was the relationship between John and Paul frayed too badly by this point?
